Hi all! It's the long-awaited New Year's break and I continue to work on the vulture.
At this point I made a cooling system. My idea is to use air for several parts at the same time:
Cools the antigravity generators (this part is on its own).
Cools the grenade launchers.
Cools the central onboard computer.
Cools the main core - where the gas goes to the turbines.
The system is duplicated in some elements for the possibility of afterburner or failure of individual elements. (Although the price of vulture seventy-five minerals I would like to add the possibility of afterburner using vespene - there are additional tubes for this)

I finally finished the anti-gravity module. I don't know what it should look like, so I created my own design.
This is painted in opencanvas version of how the anti-gravity module should look in the active state.
The front and rear modules weigh in the air. Most likely, it will be mounted on a movable element for greater maneuverability of the vulture.In order to accommodate the anti-gravity modules, the frame design had to be slightly modified.
The hydraulic hoses of the landing legs are still attached to the frame, but this will be changed in the future.
Initially, the idea of the landing leg was taken from the mechanisms that are used on trucks with a crane. But then I decided to additionally equip the landing leg with magnetic holders. So in case of loss of gravity, the equipment will remain securely fastened to the iron floor of the hangar. Electromagnets work in the same way as conventional magnets, so there is no need for a constant power source to keep them active. When the magnets are active, the indicator lights on the front of the leg light up, and a warning appears on the center console. When planting vulture on ordinary ground or other non-magnetic coatings, electromagnets are not used - although they can create additional stability of the entire vulture.
Despite the welds, some connections of the frame seemed to me not reliable enough, so I decided to add additional fasteners. The thin frame at the front isn't yet attached to the main frame. I think I'll do fasteners for it at the stage of creating a compartment with grenade launchers and their ammunition.
I decided to start by rethinking the design and approach to work. There was not any frame in previous work, so I decided to start with it.
The frame elements are simply leaned against each other, in the places of their contact there should be welded seams. I think that if I want to make a close-up, then I should model them. In the background, this is quite resolved by a good texture.
Hello everybody. Once upon a time, I started making a hoverbike for a contest on render.ru. My choice fell on the Terran vulture from StarCraft. Then I hadn't time to finish this work and abandoned this project for many years. But now I want to make it final. Here I will show work in progress on creating a hoverbike.)
At the time of the end of the competition, I had this sad result.( Some parts were imported from Zbrush.

After that in 2016 during vacation there was another attempt to complete the work, but everything stopped at this stage.
Well, it's time to start again!
